Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9, 1976, from Beaumont Puy in Domme. Her parents, who were a dentist as well as a teacher at school, supported and encouraged her early love for drama and theatre. Her initial dream of becoming a specialist in monkeys was replaced by a desire to pursue a degree in theater and drama. The rise of her as an actor in the young age was rapid and accompanied by early success. Her career began in earnest in 1999 when she started acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou took part in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou is a pupil of her school at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and was a student there from the age of a child she has since renounced her Catholic childhood. The actress says she is not a Catholic. Her acting and modelling careers were intertwined. She became the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and she is often known as the Chanel Muse. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival, she displayed the collection of her photographs with the title Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity as well as fame. The exhibition also includes an assortment of self-portraits as well as a special focus on journalists who have scrutinised Tautou since her meteoric success following Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major part in the film Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie achieved international success in the field of box office, and won awards around all over the world. The film is still the highest-grossing French film of the French language on the market in US. Following this film, Tautou appeared in a variety of films, ranging from British dramas and Jean Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de Faancailles. After that, she shifted to Hollywood and starred with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
