She joined the Fox News Channel's general assignment staff in the year 2005. The following year, she was named anchor on Fox Report Weekend'. Julie Banderas reported several key events in her career including Hurricane Dennis. Her disappearance as US student Natalee Hooley and Terri Schiavo's legal battle. In 2004, she won the Outstanding Single Newscast Emmy Award to cover an event at the Republican National Convention.
